After having previously made a couple of videos for BBC The Social about local food and expeditions, I wanted to turn my attention to the much less frequently discussed topic of laundry detergent for my latest video.
After seeing Susan from Fresh Green Clean give a talk and workshop about how to make your own healthier and more environmentally friendly laundry detergent, I felt that there was an interesting story there. So, for my third video for BBC Scotland's online platform, BBC The Social, I built this into an idea.
The premise was I'd film myself in a vlog style taking on the challenge of finding out more about the issues associated with laundry detergent and attempt to make my own. As part of the film, I met and interviewed Susan from Fresh Green Clean who was fantastic to talk to and made some wonderful points about the easy steps we can all take to live more sustainable lives.
