Climate Action: Highlands and Islands
FILM: 30-minute documentary film telling the story of ten inspirational characters behind the innovative sustainability work being done in the Highlands and Islands. .
IMPACT: This film was featured by the Scottish Government' Net Zero campaign and facilitated local climate action through community screenings from Shetland to Skye.

Featuring filming, sound recording, drone cinematography, video editing and original soundtrack from Cameron Mackay Productions and production from the Highlands and Islands Climate Hub, this 30-minute film tells the story of communities taking climate action in Golspie, Lairg, Ardgay, Raasay, Inverness, Ullapool, Fort William, Shetland, Thurso and Orkney.

An original Scottish folk soundtrack was produced to give a feeling of localness to the film that incorporated modern elements of production to give a sense that the communities featured were being innovative in their planning for the future. Traditional fiddle tunes from the communities featured were arranged into the Soundtrack to increase the connection to each place for audiences.
